One of life’s most enjoyable experiences is sharing delicious food in beautiful surrounds. Sydney’s Lower North Shore with it’s leafy harbourside suburbs offers an abundance of inspiring places to eat and drink… below are some of our favourites!

Since moving to Mosman we’ve become very fond of walking to Balmoral for an evening drink or meal, especially in the warmer months. As well as the walk along the promenade, we figure the uphill return walk justifies a little of what we’ve just indulged ourselves with 🙂

CHOWDER BAY – Mosman

Chowder Bay/Clifton Gardens – Mosman – Harbourside Dining on Sydney’s Lower North Shore

An idyllic location! The cluster of ex army historic buildings now house a number of fine eateries, all with superb views over Chowder Bay and Clifton Gardens. In addition, there are many fabulous bushwalks in the area… we justify our eating/drinking with a good walk 🙂

  • We Love: The casual laid back setting; the beach side location with superb views; the coffee & pre-made wraps/rolls; the passing parade!
Ripples – Chowder Bay Mosman

GEORGES HEIGHTS – Mosman

Georges Heights has some of the most stunning vantage points anywhere on Sydney Harbour, with 180° uninterrupted views to Manly, Vaucluse and the CBD. In and around Georges Heights are a number of superb walks and inspiring eateries.

    • Food: Modern Australian

  • We Love: The food… pumpkin & goats cheese tart with carrot jam is to die for; the laid back casual atmosphere and deep verandahs; the bush settings with glimpses water glimpses; taking a peek in the adjacent boutique gift & homeware store.
Frenchy’s Café – Georges Heights Mosman

THE SPIT – Mosman

The Spit – Eat Drink Sydney North Shore

The Spit Bridge area has a number of fine eateries, some with fabulous water views. We’re still ‘eating’ our way around the restaurants in this area so expect more to be added to this section in the coming months 🙂

  • Food: Mediterranean style + Bar Food

  • We Love: The casual holiday vibe; waterside/beachside dining with harbour and mariner views.
  • Update: Dinner March 2019 was a bit of a disappointment, especially for the prices charged. The service was very good, friendly and accommodating.
    Will return for breakfast and fingers crossed will be a better experience!

NEUTRAL BAY to MCMAHONS PT

Aqua Dining – Milsons Point
